Celebrities and Their Dogs
This months Celebrity is Tiffani Wood. We first saw her on our TV screens, in PopStars 1. Now she has a new smash single, 'Devil in your Soul'. Hear what she had to say to North Shore Dogs, about her four legged friends:

When I was younger, we had two dogs: The first was my
older sisters dog called "Vegimite Reggae" he was a Fox Terrier
(I think she named him after a band in the 80's). He was the family pet
for around 6 years and like our other dog "Fluffy" (he was a Maltese/Bichon
Friese) we loved to dress them up in clothes. As you can see in the above
photos!
Our first dog Reggae (as we nick named him) came to a tragic but heroic
end when he escaped from our gates one morning and we received a call that
he had been attacked by two Alsatians - but he was still alive. The vet
said that even though he had horrific injuries, he was still wagging his
little tail on the bench. That happiness from him has become my last memory.
Rest in Peace Reggae.
Little Fluffy was passed onto our gardner when all the kids had left home
and my parents had to move to an island on the Gold Coast, where no animals
were allowed so the gardener took him on. He lived a happy and wonderful
life of about 9 years.
Fluffy being part Bichon used to do tricks, as the Bichon is a type of circus
dog. He could stand on his back legs and beg for ages and he could do this
while turning around in a circle. He was a really happy and fun dog with
a smile from ear to ear. Fluffy was also with us when the Newcastle earthquake
hit, and he actually new it was coming. He hid before all of us knew and
just bolted out of the room, hid under a table and howled. I think that's
pretty amazing! Reggae, being a Terrier, didn't do many tricks, naturally.
But he loved to jump over things and he also loved to go swimming in our
pool. My dad used to stand both of them up on surfboards in the pool and
they would balance themselves (occasionally falling in). I also love it
when dogs hear sirens and sit and howl, i think that's really unique!
I love fluffy animals! So I would say either an Alaskan Malamute or a Husky
are my favorite breeds. A friend used to own one of these (a Husky) and
it used to be able to play soccer, they have such big paws, and I just loved
their faces.
I consider dogs to be like humans in a way, although they can't actually
talk English (they do speak in their own doggy way!) it makes it even better
sometimes as they don't usually talk back (hehe). They're there to give
you a hug and there to play. They are your best friend no matter what.
The best part of owning a dog, is when you come home through that door -
they greet you with such happiness and make you feel like your the most
loved person on the planet!
