Meet Munch and CJ
CJ is a delightful Cocker Spaniel, and Munch – a Keeshond.
The following are a few of their favorite things, detailed by their adopted mother – Alison.
Pizza
We have pizza delivered most Saturday nights and now Munch & CJ have started to look impatiently out of the window for the pizza man's arrival at what they consider to be around dinner time (CJ stands on the sofa, to look out the window). After the Pizza's arrival, they then watch every mouthful eaten with hypnotic concentration until they receive some from them selves.
Carrots
They love carrots and have one to chew every night after dinner. This started when Munch stood on his hind legs & took a carrot off the bench while Dave (my husband) was preparing our dinner. Not to reward bad behavior of course, but now Munch & CJ have their own carrot every night.
Swimming Pool
In the hot weather Munch will splash and play in his little plastic swimming pool to keep cool and then play in the sand pit. CJ just eats the sand!
They have their own, very special, toy box overflowing with various toys of all shapes and sizes. They both take the toys out when they want to play, although they haven't learnt to put them away yet, that's my job.
Bones
CJ loves bones & will often try to hold hers in her mouth while trying to steal Munch's at the same time. She gives it a good try but is not usually successful, as her mouth is not big enough to hold both at the same time.
Munch's vocabulary and favorite words:
Dinner, Carrot, C, (C came about, when we tried spelling - so he wouldn't understand what we were talking about!), Pizza, Walk, W, (Same idea as C), Panda (which is his favorite stuffed toy since he was a puppy), and Squeaky ( another favorite toy).
Their personalities:
Munch is Mr Outgoing and will run up to everyone - dogs & humans, as he assumes everyone will think he is as wonderful as we do. CJ is shy and although she pushes Munch around at home, she is more guarded around new people/dogs.
They are both perfect little angels that can do no wrong (not always the opinion of my husband who considers they get more attention than he does, which actually is true!).
Paws On Paths says:
CJ and Munch, are the most well rounded and loving dogs. Their individual personalities compliment each other perfectly. Munch feels he is a very good communicator, and likes to have in-depth conversations, and listens and awaits for a response. CJ, if human – would be a princess of some sort. Tiara and all.
During Munch's weekly grooming season with Beccy, from Paws On Paths – he thinks he is very cleaver as he can kick himself away from this offender with the brush! He gets most upset when the area around his private parts needs to be brushed, so a routine of a few minutes brushing, and a few minutes cuddling seems to work well!
Although CJ doesn't particularly enjoy a good brush, she feels that she is most left out. She will bound from lounge to lounge, during Munch's ordeal with his coat. She always stops mid-bound, to let her presence be felt, and remind us that she is in the room too!”
