Our Philosophy
We consider Dog Walking and Animal Attending to be a very personal service. On a daily basis we are entering client's homes, transporting their dogs in our cars, and taking them in to public dog parks. This is not something to be taken lightly. We are firm believers that to provide such a service it must be on a personal level – and this is the basis in which we form our long lasting and enjoyable friendships with our clients. We are proud of these relationships that we have developed, and couldn't possibly imagine our lives with out them (In particular, Jen, Jasmin, Stephanie, Alison, Gabi, the Osmo's and the Lewis's).
Initial Contact
From your first point of contact we will arrange a time to meet you and your pets, in your home. Our initial (and free of charge) visit can take any where from 20 minutes, to 1 hour. Generally we like to take your pooch for a little walk with you. We also like to shower your pet with treats, usually in the form of fresh meat. This always leaves a favorable first impression in your pets mind! With this time, we can discuss your time preferences for your dog to be walked, costs per hour, and medical conditions that we need to be aware of etc. We will also provide you with two forms that will need to be filled out by the time our services are to being. These forms are for you to detail your pets history, and our contract of service.
What happens in extreme heat or rainy days?
We always do our best to entertain our furred friends even in days when the weather doesn't permit walks or frolicking at the park. On such days, we may have to take off approximately 15 minutes off our visit with your dog, to insure that everyone has their fair share of time with us. We always find things to do! We can sit with your dog, and give him or her a good brush, have quality play time indoors, or just have a cuddle. For ‘inside' dogs, we will always insure that we get them out side to defecate or urinate.
Paws On Paths Schedule
In order to arrange our week ahead, we always ask that clients contact us by Sunday to let us know when you would like us to visit (if applicable), via SMS, Email or phone. After this time, if you would like to add a walk to that week or cancel - please give us 24 hours notice.
And in the event of an emergency?
We take all injuries to your pets very seriously. You must accept that any injury or illness to your pet is to be paid by you, at your earliest convenience. We will always attempt to take your pet to your preferred Veterinarian. With no hesitation will we transport your pet for treatment, if we believe it to be necessary. If we can not contact you prior, Paws On Paths will instruct the Surgery to administer any medications, or to initiate any surgery to stabilise your pet. We will provide them with your details.
What will I need to provide to Paws On Paths?
On our first day of service you will need to have completed our two forms, ‘Paws On Paths Contract of Service' and ‘Paws On Paths Medical Release Form.' You will also need to provide your dogs lead, a key (if applicable) – and your pet! You must also ensure your dog has a collar, with a name tag including a contact number.
